This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient-centered end-of-life care while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements and professional standards in a hospice start up environment. The ideal candidate is a strong clinical leader who is passionate about supporting patients families and staff during some of lifes most meaningful moments.
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight for all hospice nursing services
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and standards of care
- Supervise mentor and develop nursing staff to promote excellence and accountability
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support quality patient outcomes
- Oversee staffing scheduling and clinical operations
- Monitor quality assurance performance improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives
- Participate in strategic planning and support organizational growth
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Masters degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
- Current license as a registered nurse (RN) in Texas and/or in accordance with the Board of Nurse .
- Minimum of 35 years of hospice or home health experience
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of hospice regulations and standards.
- Home Care Home Base experience strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
- Reliable transportation. Valid and current auto liability insurance.
