Position Overview
The Process Technician supports production by setting up and optimizing plastic injection molding machines to ensure consistent quality and efficient operation. This role focuses on machine start-ups process adjustments troubleshooting and maintaining stable production throughout the shift.
Responsibilities
Start up and shut down injection molding presses according to schedule.
Adjust machine settings to maintain part quality and cycle efficiency.
Troubleshoot process issues alarms and molding defects.
Perform mold material and component changes as needed.
Assist with machine set-ups and changeovers.
Monitor auxiliary equipment (grinders temperature units etc.).
Record process settings and production data.
Perform minor equipment maintenance and tool organization.
Support operators and set-up staff during production.
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
Complete other duties assigned by leadership.
Requirements
Experience with plastic injection molding processing or set-ups preferred.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
Forklift certification preferred.
Basic computer or tablet skills.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Physical Demands
Standing bending and repetitive hand use throughout shift.
Lift up to 50 lbs; push/pull up to 100 lbs.
Climb ladders or equipment occasionally.
Work safely around operating machinery
