APEM Group has a great permanent opportunity for an accounts payable professional to join our Finance team in Port Melbourne.

The Accounts Payable Specialist is a key business support role working to support the Finance team and directly reporting to the Financial Controller. The main duties of the role include assisting in the processing of supplier invoices and team expenses accurate data entry and maintenance of historical records in multiple accounting systems and contributing to continuous process improvement of our finance processes.

This role is an excellent opportunity for an AP professional to further your career (or return to the workforce) and make a meaningful impact in a supportive and collaborative environment.

This role also involves exciting business integration projects as the businesses within the group migrate financial systems and create more efficient accounts payable processes.

The role is based in our Melbourne office located in Port Melbourne close to the CBD and easily accessible by public transport. We are a very short walk from the North Port tram stop. This central location provides access to all the services of Melbourne without the hassle of traffic and parking.

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Tertiary qualifications in accountancy finance or business administration (or an equivalent discipline).
• A minimum of 3 years of finance or accounts payables experience.
• Excellent communication interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• An understanding of financial statements invoices and reports.
• An intermediate level of MS Excel competency (such as the use of accountancy formulas).
• Strong organisation and team-coordination skills.
• You must have the right to work in Australia to apply for this job.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in multiple accounting systems and expense management software
