Job Summary

We are seeking a Parts Manager for a locally owned full-service repair and parts facility in Yellowknife to join their team. As a Traction Parts Distributor they are the leading place for heavy truck equipment and generator repairs and parts in Yellowknife and the North West 2024 they opened a new headquarters in Yellowknife with a 3000 sq. ft. parts area with a front and back service counter. Now they have the opportunity for a hands-on manager to help grow the service and parts business.

Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities: The Parts Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the parts department for heavy equipment repair and sales. This role will also manage inventory (Truck Generator and Heavy Equipment Parts) and coordinate with technicians and customers. Ensuring efficient ordering processes and excellent customer service are also key in this position.


Key Qualifications to Succeed:

  • Experience: Proven experience in parts management preferably in the heavy truck or heavy equipment industry
  • Skills: Strong leadership communication and customer service skills. Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Certifications: Parts Technician Certificate (preferred).
  • Licenses: Class 5 Drivers License (required).


Reporting and Team Dynamics: Reporting directly to Kyle Hodges the Founder and President. The Parts Manager will lead two Parts people and work collaboratively with the Service Manager and the Service Technician to contribute effectively to organizational goals.


Work Arrangement: Full-time Permanent Relocation Required

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday with some work on Saturdays and Sundays as required particularly in the busy Winter Season.

Yellowknife NWT: Permanent Relocation required toa City of 20000 people with Lower Tax Rates thanevery province in Canada additionally NorthernResidents Deduction (Basic Residency Amount) couldreduce taxable income by up to $4745 and Student
