As we continue to grow were seeking a Senior Maintenance Mechanic to elevate the performance and reliability of our utility and production support systems at our Waunakee WI facility.This is a high-level technical role for a skilled professional who thrives in a regulated manufacturing environment enjoys troubleshooting complex systems and takes pride in operational excellence.What Youll DoAs a Senior Maintenance Mechanic youll play a critical role in maintaining the infrastructure that supports manufacturing operations. Your work ensures equipment reliability regulatory compliance and operational continuity.- Start up inspect and maintain utility and production support equipment performing daily and weekly checks.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues making adjustments and repairs to minimize production impact.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on complex systems including:
- Solvent recovery and peptone concentration systems
- Boilers and water systems (PW/WFI)
- Freeze dryers and other critical manufacturing equipment
- Fire and security systems
- Operate maintain and calibrate controls and instrumentation for mechanical electrical and HVAC/refrigeration systems.
- Conduct system tests and technical analyses to support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve complex technical challenges.
- Adhere to regulatory safety and quality standards at all times.
What Success Looks Like- Equipment and systems operate safely efficiently and reliably.
- Preventive maintenance is completed accurately and on schedule.
- Technical issues are resolved proactively minimizing disruption.
- Compliance with cGMP SOPs and safety standards is consistently achieved.
- Team members and stakeholders rely on you for advanced technical expertise and problem-solving.
What You Bring- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- 2 years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude with proficiency in at least one area (mechanical systems HVAC or refrigeration)
- Ability to troubleshoot diagnose and repair production and utility equipment
- Ability to meet physical demands of the role including lifting up to 4050 lbs and working in varied environmental conditions
Preferred:- 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical life sciences or regulated manufacturing
- Technical certifications such as ISA CCST Level 2 Certified Instrumentation Technician Certified HVAC/Refrigeration Technician or Licensed Journeyman Electrician
- 1st Class Boilers License or Universal Refrigeration License
- Coursework or technical training beyond high school
