EYs Life Sciences Risk Consulting team supports biotechnology pharmaceutical medical device and medical technology organizations as they modernize laboratory and quality operations while managing regulatory risk and accelerating business performance.

The opportunity

As a Manager within EYs Life Sciences Transformation practice you will play a critical role in delivering laboratory transformation initiatives for Life Sciences clients across R&D quality control and manufacturing environments. You will focus on helping clients modernize laboratory operations through digital enablement operating model redesign and system implementations while ensuring solutions are fit for purpose in regulated environments.

You will work as part of integrated engagement teams leading discrete workstreams and serving as a key daytoday client contact. This role is laboratoryfirst with quality regulatory and validation considerations embedded to enable compliant scalable and sustainable lab operations rather than serving as the primary focus.

Key areas of emphasis include digital laboratory modernization LIMS and laboratory platform implementations laboratory process and operating model design and integration of lab data and systems across the product lifecycle.

Your key responsibilities

As a Manager you will be responsible for workstream leadership delivery execution and team management including:

  • Leading laboratory transformation workstreams including digital lab modernization initiatives LIMS implementations and laboratory operating model and process redesign across R&D QC and manufacturing labs
  • Translating client objectives into detailed delivery plans requirements and execution roadmaps focused on laboratory operations and technology enablement
  • Managing daytoday delivery across lab-focused workstreams ensuring timelines scope and quality expectations are met
  • Integrating quality regulatory and computer systems validation considerations into laboratory solutions in partnership with SMEs ensuring solutions are compliant without overengineering
  • Serving as a primary client contact at the manager and director level facilitating working sessions status updates and issue resolution
  • Leading and coaching consultants and senior consultants providing direction feedback and development support
  • Supporting business development and account activities including proposal development client presentations and contribution to laboratory transformation offerings and assets

Skills and attributes for success

  • Proven experience leading laboratory-focused transformation workstreams in Life Sciences environments
  • Strong understanding of laboratory operations lab workflows and digital lab technologies (e.g. LIMS LES ELN lab data platforms)
  • Working knowledge of quality regulatory and validation requirements as they apply to laboratory systems and processes
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to bridge lab IT and business stakeholders
  • Experience managing delivery risk dependencies and trade-offs within complex programs
  • Ability to balance innovation usability and compliance in GxP-regulated laboratory environments
  • Commitment to developing junior team members and contributing to a collaborative team culture
  • Curiosity and interest in emerging laboratory technologies and trends within Life Sciences

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A bachelors or masters degree in Life Sciences Engineering Computer Science or a related field
  • 5 years of Life Sciences experience with a strong emphasis on laboratory operations lab systems or lab transformation initiatives
  • 3 years of experience leading project workstreams or components of larger programs in consulting or industry
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory systems (e.g. LIMS ELN LES) and/or lab data and integration platforms
  • Foundational knowledge of computer systems validation data integrity and regulatory expectations for laboratory environments

Ideally youll also have

  • Experience supporting global Life Sciences organizations across R&D QC or manufacturing laboratories
  • Exposure to proposal development internal asset creation or offering development related to laboratory transformation
  • Experience mentoring consultants or senior consultants
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% based on client needs

  • We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where youll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $114800 to $210600. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $137900 to $239300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education experience knowledge skills and addition our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage pension and 401(k) plans and a wide range of paid time off options.
  • Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement project or year.
