Reports to: Program Directors of Distance Learning Solutions Characteristics: Educational-related services include strong communication evaluation and observation skills as well as collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. The position requires the use of independent judgment and professional decision-making in situations where established rules regulations policies or precedents may not Functions:Employ best practices in individual and group treatmentMonitor and evaluate student progressTrack data for progress reports and treatment planningUse a web-based system to complete special education evaluationsParticipate in educational planning referral eligibility and IEP meetingsCollaborate and consult with general and special education teachers and parentsMaintain accurate and complete student records and prepare reports as required by laws district policies and administrative regulationsCommunicate professionally via email phone and videoconferencingParticipate in staff development activities staff meetings and individual meetings with the supervisorAdhere to the policies of the Fossil Distance Learning Program and procedures of the special education departmentSubmit monthly documentation for mileage and appointments (when applicable)Contribute to the continuous innovation that is required of a unique distance learning programUse a variety of office equipment including computers scanners and printers and computer software and web applicationsFulfill other duties as assumed or as assigned by the supervisorDemonstrate ownership and alignment with company quality standards when working with students parents colleagues or othersMaintain a courteous and positive demeanor in every interaction when responding to a wide range of inquiries from students guardians and colleaguesCollaborate with peers and administrators in a professional positive and student-focused mannerMaintain a strong and supportive company culture by supporting company recruitment retention and community outreach goalsAll other duties as assignedThese essential functions are not to be construed as a complete statement of all duties performed.
