The Chimes School is a nonpublic MSDE-approved special education program serving students ages 521 with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Were known for our supportive team-based environment strong clinical and behavioral services and a shared commitment to helping every student build communication independence and confidence.
Were expanding and looking for a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist who believes in the power of progressone meaningful moment at a time.
What Youll Do
- Provide speech/language evaluations and deliver therapy services (direct and consultative) aligned with student IEPs
- Develop measurable IEP goals and collaborate with educators families and related service providers
- Maintain timely documentation and ensure compliance with applicable school and state requirements (including COMAR)
- Support staff with strategies and tools that enhance communication including assistive technology as needed
- Participate in team meetings professional development and other school-based activities
What You Bring
Education & Licensure
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Maryland SLP license (current)
- ASHA CCC-SLP or eligibility for certification
Experience & Skills
- At least 1 year of relevant experience (school setting or working with children/individuals with disabilities preferred)
- Strong collaboration skills and a student-centered compassionate approach
- Acceptable driving record (may be required based on assignment)
