Role Overview
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will lead end-to-end operations with a strong focus on Supplier Management Sales Operations and Distribution Management. The role ensures seamless coordination across procurement sales channels and distribution networks to drive revenue growth service excellence and scalable operations.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier & Procurement Management
- Develop and manage strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate commercial terms contracts pricing and service-level agreements.
- Ensure supplier performance quality compliance and continuity of supply.
- Optimize sourcing strategies to improve cost reliability and margins.
Sales Operations Management
- Oversee sales operations channel performance and revenue execution.
- Align sales strategy with operational capacity inventory and distribution.
- Set sales KPIs monitor pipeline performance and improve conversion efficiency.
- Coordinate with marketing and commercial teams to support growth initiatives.
Distribution & Logistics Management
- Manage and optimize distribution networks warehouses and logistics partners.
- Ensure timely order fulfillment inventory accuracy and service-level adherence.
- Reduce distribution costs while improving delivery speed and coverage.
- Implement systems and processes for scalable multi-location distribution.
Operational Leadership
- Oversee day-to-day operations across functions and locations.
- Translate strategy into executable operational plans.
- Drive efficiency productivity and cost optimization.
Strategy Execution & Performance
- Implement corporate strategy in coordination with the CEO and leadership team.
- Track performance against KPIs and drive corrective actions.
- Identify operational risks and lead mitigation plans.
Financial & Budgetary Oversight
- Support budgeting forecasting and cost control initiatives.
- Improve working capital through inventory and supply chain optimization.
- Review operational expenditures to enhance profitability.
People & Stakeholder Management
- Lead and develop senior operational sales and supply chain teams.
- Build a performance-driven accountable culture.
- Manage key stakeholders including distributors suppliers and partners.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Engineering Finance or related field (MBA preferred).
- Proven experience as COO Operations Director or Senior Operations Leader.
- Strong understanding of multi-business or holding company structures.
Experience & Skills
- Proven experience in Generic Medicine – Import Export & Distribution operations.
- Strong exposure to pharmaceutical supply chain regulatory coordination and distributor management.
- Experience managing suppliers principals and international manufacturers.
- Solid understanding of sales operations channel management and distributor-led markets.
- Hands-on experience with inventory planning demand forecasting and cold-chain/logistics compliance.
- Ability to manage multi-location operations and cross-border trade activities.
- Strong leadership negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in emerging or regulated markets is a strong advantage.
