Were looking for an HR Intern who is eager to gain hands-on experience in Human Resources while supporting a fast-paced growing company in the energy sector. This internship is HR-focused with opportunities to work on performance management compliance onboarding and policy updates while also providing light recruiting support during peak hiring seasons. Youll gain practical exposure to core HR functions and learn how to navigate day-to-day HR operations in a dynamic business environment. What Youll Do:
- Assist with the implementation of RMS Energys performance management program including new-hire check-ins evaluations and goal tracking
- Provide administrative support for performance management tasks such as data entry reporting and reminders
- Review and update the employee handbook drafting and formatting content for clarity and accessibility
- Conduct compliance research to ensure HR policies align with federal state and local laws
- Support daily HR operations by organizing files updating databases and responding to employee inquiries
- Aid recruiting efforts by sourcing candidates screening resumes performing outreach and scheduling interviews
- Help collect role details and format job descriptions in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Support onboarding coordination tasks and assist with employee orientation as assigned
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives to improve processes and support the team
The Experience Were Looking For: - Demonstrated professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information
- Comfortable working with documents spreadsheets and standard operating procedures
- Basic research skills with the ability to summarize policies and regulations in plain language
- Customer-service mindset with a helpful solution-oriented approach
- Eagerness to learn core HR functions such as compliance onboarding and performance management
- Reliable internet access and ability to work effectively in a remote or hybrid setting
- Strong communication interpersonal and organizational skills
Additional Requirements: - Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field at an accredited institution
- Must pass a background check and pre-employment/random drug tests
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work in an office setting and travel occasionally if needed
- Physically able to sit stand and perform light office tasks with occasional lifting up to 20 lbs

- Familiarity with ATS platforms or HR systems
