MAJOR FUNCTION
Responsible in coordinating the tasks of all Banquet Events. General responsibilities include duties ensuring that all meals and beverages are properly and efficiently delivered ensuring all bills are properly handled department training and assistance with inventory control. Other occasional duties include normal Sales and Banquet functions when required to ensure efficient operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the coordination of tasks and operations of the banquet F&B Department.
Project courtesy hospitality and professional behaviour across your department at all times with guests and fellow colleagues and ensure Line Employees exercise the same levels of professionalism and courtesy.
Review event sheets to ensure a full understanding of setup event flow catering and other special requirements.
Ensure all Banquet tasks including Restaurant employees are fully briefed and understand service requirements of the given event.
Oversee the setup of functions and events.
Spot check items served to ensure they meet established standards and procedures.
Ensure the flow of catering for events follows established standards and protocols.
Be the first line of defence to handle guest queries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
Monitor guest feedback and make recommendations for improvements or new products or services to meet guest needs.
Oversee the handling of event bookings to ensure all specifications are properly delegated and arranged.
- Coordinate with Sales staff IT Engineering and Housekeeping for the proper furniture equipment and A/V setup of events including rentals for linens operating equipment etc.
- Ensure all A/V functions in Banqueting are properly coordinated for each event.
- Ensure all events are properly prepared and inspected prior to arrival by guests.
- Conducting telemarketing to identify and secure new accounts.
- Performing sales call visits to potential clients with live-out events.
