Manage the Methodist Hospital (NMH) Gift Shop ensure financial and merchandising success and provide leadership to volunteers. Lead the merchandising and inventory processes.

Responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions

Responsible for leading and managing the operations of the NMH Gift Shop.

Develop and implement strategies for the financial and merchandising success of the onsite and online gift shops.

Create implement and maintain inventory and purchasing procedures for NMH gift shop.

Work with staff for consistency between NMH and Methodist Womens Hospital (MWH) gift shops.

Manage all aspects of merchandising (e.g. purchases receipt transfers displays etc.) while maintaining clean and organized merchandise storage rooms and work area.

Lead and advise the volunteer buyers and manages vendor relations.

Monitor and manage revenues expenses and pricing strategies for NMH gift shop merchandise and supplies.

Manage Gift Shop volunteers (e.g. orientation training scheduling etc.) ensuring proper coverage for operating hours.

Report on gift shop sales inventory and other operational aspects.

Provide support for special events volunteer recognition programs and fundraisers.

Monday-Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm

Job Requirements

Education

High school or General Educational Development (G.E.D) required.
Bachelors degree preferred.

Experience

Minimum 2 years of customer service retail or hospital experience required.
Experience with merchandising inventory processes and retail management software preferred.
Experience with volunteers and Volgistics software preferred.

License/Certifications
