The Role
Teaching Design & Technology across KS3 and KS4 with potential KS5 depending on specialism
Delivering engaging well-structured practical and theoretical lessons
Supporting pupils with project-based learning NEA and coursework development
Developing pupils creativity resilience and technical precision
Ensuring workshop health & safety compliance and risk assessment procedures
Monitoring pupil progress and implementing targeted strategies to raise attainment
Contributing to curriculum refinement and departmental development planning
Supporting wider whole-school improvement initiatives
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in Design & Technology or a related discipline
Experience teaching secondary DT across KS3 and KS4
Strong classroom management and workshop leadership skills
Excellent understanding of health & safety regulations within practical environments
A commitment to raising standards and improving pupil outcomes
A proactive collaborative and solutions-focused approach
