The Role
Teaching Design & Technology across KS3 and KS4 with potential KS5 depending on specialism
Delivering engaging project-based learning experiences
Supporting pupils with coursework NEA and examination preparation
Promoting creativity technical skill development and design thinking
Ensuring workshop safety and compliance procedures are maintained
Monitoring pupil progress and implementing targeted support strategies
Contributing to departmental improvement planning and curriculum development
Supporting whole-school academic and enrichment initiatives
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in Design & Technology or related discipline
Experience teaching DT at secondary level
Strong practical workshop skills and health & safety knowledge
A commitment to raising standards and improving outcomes
A collaborative and proactive approach
