Title: Director Student Success Center
POSITION SUMMARY
The Director provides strategic vision and direction for student success initiatives across the institution. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of the Student Success Center which is designed to provide holistic services from pre-enrollment to completion with a primary goal of increasing graduation rates. The Director will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to increase graduation rates ensure program effectiveness and foster key partnerships that enhance student success.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops and monitors a comprehensive program of academic advisement career and financial aid support services for students.
Develops and implements strategies to improve the retention and performance of students in collaboration with student success advisors and career services staff.
Implements academic interventions and other initiatives to improve students performance and retention.
Evaluates program services and develops interventions for probation and at-risk students.
Oversees programs budget and daily administration including scheduling and timely delivery of services.
Establishes and maintains relationships with academic departments and satellite campus personnel.
Prepare and submit regular reports on program performance budget updates and student outcomes.
Supervises Student Success staff.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Masters degree
At least five (5) years of higher education experience in student services/advising including a minimum of two (2) years in a supervisory role.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Doctorate degree with community college experience.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Utilize Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint) or appropriate alternative software to the extent required to effectively perform the essential functions. Communicate effectively using a variety of styles and techniques. Excellent multi-tasking ability and responsiveness to time-sensitive requests. Ability to work collaboratively and independently on multiple related projects. Understanding the evaluation and data needs of education programs. Strong fiscal management skills. Familiarity with issues faced by community college students especially in urban settings.

Rate of Pay: $71000.00 to $88876.00 depending on experience
