Job Summary / Purpose
Head Accounts is responsible for protecting assets by ensuring compliance with internal control procedures and regulations by examining records reports operating practices and documentation.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with established internal control procedure by examining records reports operating practices and documentations.
- Verify assets and liabilities by comparing items to documentation.
- Oversee compilation of audit workpapers audit tests and findings.
- Oversee audit and control reports by collecting analyzing and summarizing operating information and trends.
- Oversee insurance validation and reconciliation.
- Complete monthly payroll and resolve issues with companys bankers.
- Communicate audit findings by preparing a final report and discussing findings with auditees and top management.
- Validate financial statements and pass opinion on reliability of statements.
- File monthly returns with GRA.
- Prepare monthly quarterly and yearly budget preparation.
- Recommend and implement internal controls to safeguard shareholders funds.
Other Duties
- Assist and ensure the implementation of quality management system procedures within department.
- Reporting defects in the systems implementation for action.
- Ensure awareness of and compliance with established policies and procedures within department.
- Participate in management and performance review on operations.
- Establish and achieve departmental objectives.
- Plan resource needs and judicious use of the resources.
- Identify staff training needs and subsequent evaluation of staff performance.
- Performs any other duties that may be assigned by management from time to time.
Scope of Authority
- Approve reports and records generated in the departments.
- Recommend performance improvement activities.
- Approve functional process and departmental objectives and targets.
- Any other authority that may be assigned from time to time by management
Requirements
Education /Academic qualification
Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance or related field
Masters Degree in Accounting Finance or related field an added advantage
Professional qualifications
Minimum 5 years working experience in similar field.

Required Skills:
A Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management Business Administration or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in HR consultancy or a generalist HR officer role. Experience in an international/multicultural environment is an advantage Experience with HR CRM platforms; Exposure to HR projects compliance and HR practice across at least 3 5 key industries is an advantage. Strong understanding of labour laws and HR best practices in Ghana and Africa is an advantage. Experience working in a consultancy or client-facing HR role is desirable but not mandatory.
