Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and experienced HSE Supervisor to join our modular refinery operations in Kwale Delta State. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving a strong safety culture ensuring regulatory compliance and overseeing health safety and environmental standards across all site activities.
This role is ideal for a safety-focused professional with solid oil & gas or engineering/EPC experience who thrives in a structured performance-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures in line with regulatory and company standards.
- Conduct routine site inspections risk assessments and safety audits.
- Ensure compliance with all local state and federal safety regulations.
- Lead incident investigations and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.
- Deliver HSE inductions toolbox talks and ongoing safety training to employees and contractors.
- Monitor hazardous activities and enforce safe work practices across refinery operations.
- Maintain proper documentation of safety records permits and compliance reports.
- Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to proactively mitigate risks.
- Promote a strong safety-first culture across all departments.
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of . or HND in Engineering Environmental Science Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in HSE within oil & gas engineering or EPC environments.
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH IOSH OSHA or other recognized HSE certifications (additional lower-level certifications are an added advantage).
- Strong knowledge of industry safety regulations.
- Excellent communication reporting and leadership skills.
- High level of integrity and commitment to operational excellence.
