The opportunity
The incumbent in this role is expected to lead the Total Rewards portfolio for GDS Philippines. Activities will include supporting the Annual Reward cycle budgeting benchmarking and annual review process. Will include design conceptualizing and implementing benefits frameworks as well as Policies in line with the cultural nuances of GDS and program managing aspects from design to implementation. He/She will proactively partner with client-facing HR colleagues and local business line management to identify and address compensation issues and evangelize GDN Philippiness total compensation philosophy and strategy to key stakeholders. He/She may be expected to be involved and take a lead on some of the Global solutioning projects. He/She will also be responsible for ensuring full adherence to all statutory and regulatory compliance requirements while managing day to day operations.

Your key responsibilities
Will lead the entire life cycle of compensation activities ranging from Compensation benchmarking budgeting increase and bonus cycles.
Accountable to build and tap existing networks for sources of Market intelligence.
Effectively partner with HR colleagues and business clients to manage consult on compensation and benefit-related issues
Provide guidance to the business and develop creative solutions on a variety of total compensation issues including the setting of appropriate fixed pay variable pay levels.
Oversee the execution of employee benefits programs such as insurance medical wellness retirement plans and other policy-based benefits.
Design and implement benefits communication to enhance employee awareness and adoption.
Build strong network and be able to assess the pulse of Recruitment and Talent retention data points and be able to support with Root cause analysis findings and recommendations for a program.
Perform ad hoc analysis for costing program effectiveness and trend purposes
Identify select and participate in compensation and benefits surveys to analyse the companys competitive market position for each in-country location
Conduct custom compensation and benefits surveys with key industry contacts as needed
Should be able to think through Rewards and recognition policies and articulate management proposals on the same for new changes
Ensure adherence to all statutory and regulatory requirements related to employment laws social security taxation and labour compliance.
Partner with legal payroll and HR teams to ensure compliant documentation reporting and records management
Look for opportunities to do Technology transformation in process areas and steps.
Ensure deep dive analysis ROI of all compensation interventions.
Help in the change management process and communicate the same to the larger employees.
Partnering with Procurement and Risk management as and when necessary when new service providers are signed up for.
Ensure prompt and accurate compliance.
Has to be fiscally responsible for the program budgets.
Will be accountable for the judicious use of budgets towards program

To qualify for the role you must have
Bachelors Degree
8-10 years of experience preferably in a similar field of Total Rewards and someone who is preferably at an Assistant Manager level in the industry.
Ideally youll also have
Good understanding of the principles and practices of compensation and benefits systems and legislation in Philippines
Knows basic taxation laws applying to compensation in Philippines.
Strong analytical problem solving skills and quantitative skills and a track record for planning doing and auditing work; able to systematically break down problems or processes into their parts and develop several alternative solutions
Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at once
Ability to create tools and models to interpret and analyse data
Should be able to understand the nuances of diverse businesses and able to develop solutions that may look customized yet is scalable and can be made consistent
Extensive understanding of industry wide Total Rewards programs and how it would work.
Problem solving skills and quantitative skills and a track record for planning doing and auditing work;
Significant interaction with senior level members in the Talent team
