Senior Power BI Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior PowerBI Engineer to lead the development and optimization of business intelligence solutions driving data-driven decision-making across the this role you will be responsible for creating advanced data models developing and maintaining complex Power BI reports and mentoring junior team members. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data visualization best practices business intelligence and strong analytical skills to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advanced Power BI Development:

  • Design develop and maintain complex and high-quality Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to business needs.

  • Utilize advanced DAX and Power Query functions to create dynamic and scalable data visualizations.

• Data Architecture and Modeling:

  • Lead the design and implementation of optimized data models to support various reporting needs.

  • Ensure the integrity of data and enhance data governance across different data sources.

• Performance Optimization:

  • Optimize the performance of Power BI reports to ensure quick load times and smooth interactivity.

  • Implement best practices for handling large datasets and improving report efficiency.

• Data Integration and ETL Processes:

  • Work with multiple data sources such as databases APIs and cloud storage to integrate and automate data flows.

  • Implement ETL processes to manage data pipelines and ensure data accuracy and timeliness.

• Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including Data Engineers Analysts and other BI professionals to align on project goals.

• Mentorship and Leadership:

  • Mentor and guide junior Power BI engineers promoting skill development and best practices in data visualization and modeling.

  • Lead technical discussions and provide insights to ensure the continuous improvement of the BI team.

• Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in data analytics BI and Power BI advancements.

  • Propose and implement innovative solutions to improve reporting capabilities and user experience.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Data Science Information Technology or a related field.

• 5 years of experience in Power BI development or business intelligence roles with senior or lead responsibilities.

• Extensive experience in Power BI development including advanced DAX functions Power Query and report optimization.

• Strong background in data modeling data architecture and building complex ETL pipelines.

• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases like SQL Server MySQL or others.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure AWS etc.) and integration with cloud-based data sources is a plus.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to convert complex business requirements into efficient and scalable data models.

• Excellent communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams and non-technical stakeholders.

• Leadership experience with a proven ability to mentor and lead junior team members.

Experience in large-scale data projects and a proactive approach to problem-solving and performance tuning.
