Job Summary
Database Administrator (Oracle SQL & Multiplatform)
About the Role
We are seeking a skilledDatabase Administrator (DBA)withexpertiseinOracle SQL Server and other database platformsto manageoptimize and secure our enterprise data systems. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability performance and scalability of databases while supporting business applications and development teams.
Responsibilities
- Database Management
- Install configure andmaintainOracle SQL Server and other DB platforms (MySQL PostgreSQL etc.).
- Perform upgrades patches and migrations across environments.
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies.
- Data Security & Compliance
- Implement andmaintaindatabase security policies user access controls and encryption standards.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR HIPAA SOX).
- Backup & Recovery
- Design and manage backup/recovery strategies.
- Perform disaster recovery planning and testing.
- Performance Optimization
- Analyze query performance and optimize SQL code.
- Configure indexing partitioning andcachingstrategies.
- Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with developers to design efficient schemas and queries.
- Provide production support and troubleshoot database issues.
- Document processes standards and best practices.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field.
5 years of experience as a DBA with Oracle and SQL Server.
Strong knowledge of relational database design normalization and indexing.
Proficiencyin SQL scripting PL/SQL and TSQL.
Experience with database monitoring tools (OEM SQL Profiler etc.).
Familiarity with cloud database services (AWS RDS Azure SQL Oracle Cloud).
Preferred
Exposure toNoSQL databases (MongoDB Cassandra).
Experience with automation tools (Ansible Terraform).
Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong analytical andproblem-solvingskills.
Soft Skills
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Ability to work independently and incross functionalteams.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
