Job Summary
MORE ABOUT THIS JOB:
The DevOps Engineer is responsible for the development and implementation of DevOps processes and tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software development infrastructure and operations. They will be responsible for working with developers and operations teams to ensure that software is built deployed and monitored in a reliable and efficient manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement DevOps processes and tools
- Work with developers and operations teams to ensure that software is built deployed and maintained in a reliable and efficient manner
- Automate tasks and processes to improve efficiency
- Manage platform infrastructure and application deployments
- Monitor and troubleshoot systems
- Stay up-to-date on the latest DevOps trends
SRE Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze metrics from operating systems as well as applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding
- Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures
- Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large-scale distributed software applications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field
- 7 years of experience in DevOps
- Strong understanding of software development infrastructure and operations
- Experience with Git and resolving build issues
- Experience with enforcing test coverage
- Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins Docker Kubernetes and Terraform
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience with configuring cloud services such as AWS Kafka MSK S3
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Experience with coordinating between multiple teams to resolve build issues
