Job Summary

Job Title: MEP Draughtsman (HVAC Electrical Plumbing Firefighting)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detailed-oriented MEP Draughtsman to join our real estate development team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing coordinating and managing detailed 2D technical drawings for Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) services ensuring compliance with project specifications building codes (NBC ASHRAE etc.) and industry standards for residential and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

Drafting & Design:Prepare detailed 2D design drawings schematic drawings GFC (Good for Construction) drawings and layout drawings for HVAC Electrical Plumbing and Firefighting systems in CAD software.
Coordination:Coordinate MEP drawings with architectural structural and other consultant drawings to identify and resolve clashes.
Documentation:Update and maintain drawing records revisions legends and standard formats.
BOQ & Specifications:Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) from drawings and assist in technical specification compliance.
Site Support:Support site teams with necessary technical drawings and clarifications.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education:Diploma/ITI in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Draftsmanship.
Software Proficiency:Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in CADsoftware and MS Office.
Experience:3-5 years of experience in MEP drafting specifically in consulting firms for residential and commercial projects.
Knowledge:Strong understanding of MEP systems (HVAC ducting ELV Electrical layout Plumbing/Drainage Firefighting).
Abilities:Excellent attention to detail strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet tight deadlines and effective team work.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Accuracy of drawings.
Timely submission of drawings.
Number of clashes resolved during the design phase (BIM/Coordination).
