As a Working Student Recruitment & People Operations you support the operational execution of our recruiting processes at OceanScore. You help ensure that our hiring runs in a structured reliable and professional way from job posting to contract stage and contribute to a positive and transparent candidate experience. After a candidate is hired you take care of a structured onboarding and ensure they arrive well within the OceanScore Crew.
You work closely with Sara our Head of People & Culture as well as hiring managers and team leads across the company. The role focuses on hands-on coordination and structured process support while giving you the opportunity to contribute ideas for improving how we hire and onboard as we continue to grow.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Recruiting Coordination: Yousupport the coordination of our hiring processes by drafting and publishing job ads managing applications in FactorialHR coordinating interviews and ensuring clear communication with candidates and hiring managers.
- Hiring Manager Support: You follow up on interview feedback create interview briefings and support alignment on timelines and next steps.
- Process Support & Standards: You assist in maintaining clear recruiting and onboarding processes and templates automating and creating efficiency whereever appropriate.
- Light Recruiting Analytics: You support basic tracking of recruiting metrics (e.g. time-to-hire) and help identify areas where processes can be streamlined.
What You Bring
- You are currently enrolled in a degree in Business HR Psychology Social Sciences or a related field.
- You have at least 6 months of experience in recruiting or HR operations preferably in an international environment.
- You communicate clearly and professionally in German and English.
- You can offer between 15-20 hours per week as well as presence in our Hamburg office.

- You work in a highly organised and structured way keeping multiple parallel hiring processes on track.
- You leverage digital tools confidently and make thoughtful use of automations and AI to work efficiently and reduce manual effort.
- You keep documentation clean and ensure information is transparent and easy to access.
- You proactively flag bottlenecks or inconsistencies and suggest pragmatic improvements.
