Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain & Procurement
- Develop and implement an end-to-end supply chain and procurement strategy aligned to business objectives
- Establish maintain and govern procurement policies and procedures
- Lead contract negotiations with suppliers vendors and distribution partners
- Benchmark raw material and feedstock pricing to ensure cost competitiveness
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure continuity quality and performance
- Conduct ongoing cost-benefit analysis of local versus imported procurement strategies
Planning & S&OP
- Lead the Supply Review process as part of the S&OP cycle
- Ensure Material Requirements Planning (MRP) is fully aligned with the sales demand plan
- Ensure materials availability to meet production plans
- Implement and maintain robust process controls to support production execution
- Establish and manage outwork processes and supplier relationships
- Ensure contingency supply through alternative suppliers
- Work closely with Operations and Sales to align demand production and supply
Warehousing Logistics & Distribution
- Manage raw material finished goods receiving dispatch and warehouse operations
- Ensure a safe and compliant working environment across all logistics operations
- Manage transport providers with strict OTIF and cost control measures
- Oversee cycle counts and stock take processes to ensure stock accuracy
- Implement and manage goods return processes
- Ensure all Proof of Deliveries (PODs) are tracked and accounted for
- Manage all imports and exports end-to-end including documentation and compliance
Staff Management & Leadership
- Build and lead cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement
- Align team objectives with overall business strategy through clear communication
- Manage performance through structured quarterly appraisals
- Develop and mentor staff to ensure capability and succession planning
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Support executive leadership with strategic and operational projects
- Coordinate internal teams and third-party service providers to deliver projects
- Ensure projects are delivered on time within scope and within budget
Systems Processes & Central Filing
- Manage central filing systems and documentation governance
- Act as systems lead or systems support depending on business requirements
- Manage system users access control and training
- Own the MIS budget and oversee system improvement initiatives
- Drive continuous improvement through effective use of ERP and reporting tools
- Approve and implement system updates and enhancements
- Act as the primary liaison with third-party system support providers
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management Logistics Operations or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing supply chain environment
- Proven experience managing end-to-end supply chain operations
- Strong technical ERP and systems background
