Job Summary

Title:Head of Procurement Property &Investment

Contract Type:Permanent Full Time 35 hours per week

Salary:76034 per annum to 84208 per annum (London weighted salary) or66380 per annum to 74105 per annum (Regional salary) dependant onexperience. *Plus Essential Car UserAllowance 1300

Grade: 12

Reporting Office: London Stratford or Manchester Trafford

Persona:Agile Worker: 20% - 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office/working location (hybrid working)

Werelooking for a commercially astute leader to embed and execute our Group Supply Chain framework ensuring compliance innovation and continuous improvement. Yourexpertisewill directlyimpacthow we deliver landlord services asset management and development outcomes.

This role reports to theCommercial Directorand sits within theProperty & Investment directorate working closely with our central Supply Chain hub and Technology spoke teams.   • Lead and managethe Procurement & Buying team within Property & Investment ensuring high performance and alignment with the Group Supply Chain framework.
  • Execute procurement strategiesthat support landlord services asset management and development with a focus on value for money and compliance.
  • Drive category managementand supply chain optimisation to meet operational and financial goals.
  • Ensure governance and risk managementmaintainingcompliance with legal regulatory and internal standards.

Your key relationships:

  • Reports to: Commercial Director.
  • Works closely with:
  • TheSupply Chain hub(central team) andTechnology spoke.
  • Operations teamsin Property & Investment and Customer Services.
  • External suppliersto negotiate and manage contracts.
  • Collaborates with: Corporate Services and other internal stakeholders to align procurement with strategicobjectives.

Your key targets:

  • Delivers procurement outcomesthat support a 900m annual buying pipeline.
  • Improves supply chain performancethrough data-driven insights and continuous improvement.
  • Supports financial efficiencyby embedding category management and optimising supplier relationships.
  • Enables compliance and assurance contributing to robust governance and risk mitigation across the department.

Whatyoullbring:

Qualifications:

  • Essential
  • Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g. CIPS or equivalent).
  • AdvancedPractitioner statusfor the Procurement Act 2023.

Relevant Work Experience:

  • Essential:
  • Substantial experience inprocurement supply chain management or buying particularly in operational delivery.
  • Strong background inpublic sector procurement including compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Proven experience incontract and supplier relationship management.
  • Demonstratedcommercial and financial acumenin managing large-scale procurement pipelines.
  • Desirable:
  • Experience in thesocial housing sector.
  • Familiarity withprocurement technologies and systems.

  • Strategic thinking andcategory managementexpertise.
  • Strongleadership and team managementcapabilities.
  • Excellentnegotiation communication and stakeholder engagementskills.
  • Ability to drivevalue for money compliance and continuous improvement.
