Job Summary
The Tax Intelligent Expert role will be part of our Tax Operations Team.
The Tax department process the taxation of the various instruments based upon client instructions. This implies the collection of the tax documentation the verification and input in our system the processing of the different tax relief based upon client documentation.
The current open position will be junior role supporting Asia markets which will mainly but not exclusively the link between our other Tax Intelligent Experts and the operations for matters such as reforms & new services.
This role will offer you a challenging job in an interesting field with a certain level of autonomy and complexity and there is always potential for growing and learning.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform some of the most complex tasks of the team
- Be a controller for the team activities
- Actively participate to the continuous improvement of the practices SOPs and checks in line with Lean operations principles
- Provide input and steer on more complex whiteboard issues
- Coach new team members
- Coordinate and collaborate closely with other Tax Intelligent Experts in order to issue clear operating procedures guidelines set tools parameters concerning all reforms market changes and new services
- Coach team members on new reform new service or all changes impacting the teams to achieve operational readiness
- Create training/info-sharing sessions to develop market knowledge within the different teams
- Coordinates complex or specific corporate events processing and ensure correct tax treatment
- Take a leading role in escalations handling and reporting towards your management and externally with depositories and tax authorities when needed.
- Build and maintain a profound knowledge on market practices and rules attentive to changes to tax regulations impacting our service delivery.
- Act as point of reference within the Tax operational teams (market and process expertise applications expertise continuous improvement new project phases operational roll-out)
- Show creativity in providing the best solutions for our clients within a defined control/risk framework
- Assist with yearly review of the control map
- Build and document knowledge on complex matters and transfer any knowledge built up towards the team
- Proactively manage execute and report your action plan to Management
