Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science / Electrical / Electronic / Systems / Transportation Engineering or a related discipline
• A minimum of 6 years experience in project management and implementation of signalling & communications systems and related interface equipment replacement in an operating railway environment
• Strong leadership stakeholders management skills and business acumen to achieve the departmental key performance indexes
• Conversant with the processes involved for C&R Works from budgeting approval implementation to project close-out is an advantage
• Possession of Corporate Membership of a recognised professional institution is preferred

Remarks

• Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms

Responsibilities

• Undertake project management duties of Capital & Revenue (C&R) Works and operations interface works for the signalling & communications projects in the operating railway including High Speed Rail Light Rail and Urban Lines
• Manage consultancy and construction contracts of C&R works including planning budgeting design tendering risk management programme & cost control change management and quality & safety management
• Handle day-to-day contract administration and liaison works with relevant parties to ensure smooth running of the projects and delivery of good quality of work
• Take part in related technical studies and industry researches and be responsible for reviewing and addressing interface issues
• Lead a team of construction engineers and inspectors of works to monitor contractors performance and to ensure that works are delivered safely on time within budget and in accordance with specific requirements
