Description

Emory University School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics Neonatology Division. The Baby Brain Optimization Project (BBOP) Lab is a dynamic multidisciplinary setting that engages physicians therapists and psychologists in observational and interventional patient-based clinical research related to pre-term infants and young children with cerebral palsy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops innovative analytical methods analyzes data and makes recommendations to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of projects and/or business processes.
  • Leads and provides project management support for a variety of projects which may involve financial administration and the upgrade of software systems.
  • Tracks and verifies procedures.
  • Coordinates the distribution tracking and feedback of metrics.
  • Develops and manages project time lines.
  • Works closely with project team/departments to identify and resolve concerns.
  • Assumes responsibility for timely delivery of project deliverables as necessary.
  • Develops and maintains databases and reports.
  • Performs various analyses such as developing forecasts analyzing implications and presenting data.
  • Tracks departmental budgets and forecasts future budget needs.
  • May plan and coordinate special events and maintain the departmental website.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:

  • Develop project timelines and databases for grant-funded research studies and state funding awards.
  • Assume responsibility for timely completion of project deliverables and reporting to sponsor.
  • Manage project resources.
  • Responsible for regular progress reports to PI funding organizations and stakeholders.
  • Supervise research project and administrative staff develop educational/training materials and train team other research sites and stakeholders in study protocols and procedures.
  • May oversee development and management of IRB protocol submissions reporting requirements and regulatory documentation across all active research projects and teams.
  • Oversee infrastructure protocols and processes that support data management and analysis ensure data quality and rigor make recommendations to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of projects; facilitate identification and resolution of concerns.
  • Oversee planning and coordination of special events such as workshops and conferences.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelors degree and four years of project management financial and/or administrative management experience or an equivalent combination of education training and experience.
  • Advanced Excel and Access skills strongly preferred.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent project management communication and analytical skills; prior experience working in a research lab that focuses on infants children and caregivers.
  • Strong candidates will be results oriented and people-focused.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
