Position Title:Business Management Teacher (IBDP)
Location: DLF Phase 1 &Sector 70A Gurgaon
Position Overview
The Business Management Teacher will deliver high-quality instruction forIBDP Business Management fostering critical thinking global-mindedness and strong conceptual understanding. The teacher will design engaging learning experiences that develop students analytical entrepreneurial and ethical decision-making skills while aligning with IB curriculum standards.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
Prepare students forexternal examinations including formative and summative assessments.
Incorporate a variety of teaching methodologies including case studies simulations discussions and real-world business scenarios.
Support students in understanding and applying key business concepts tools and theories.
Guide IBDP students through theInternal Assessment (IA)process including topic selection research drafts and final submissions.
Integrate technology and digital resources into learning to enhance engagement and understanding.
Curriculum & Assessment
Develop unit plans lesson plans and assessment materials aligned with IB standards.
Use assessment data to inform planning differentiation and personalized learning.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide timely constructive feedback.
Participate in curriculum review and development within the Business Department.
Student Support
Provide academic guidance motivation and mentoring to students.
Support holistic development in line with IB Learner Profile attributes.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress performance and well-being.
Professional Development & School Engagement
Participate actively in departmental meetings collaborative planning sessions and school events.
Engage in continuous professional development including IB training workshops.
Contribute to extracurricular activities such as business clubs entrepreneurship programs competitions and field trips.
Uphold school policies academic integrity and safeguarding standards.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree in Business Economics Management Commerce or a related field.
Teaching qualification (e.g. . PGCE PGDE or equivalent).
Experience teachingIBDP Business Management.
Strong understanding of inquiry-based and student-centered learning.
Excellent communication and classroom-management skills.
IB-certified training in Business Management (Category 1/2).
Experience mentoring students for IBDP IAs and Extended Essays.
