We are seeking a high-performance Sales Manager Merchant Acquisition (Hunter Role) to drive market expansion and merchant growth across Mexico.
This position is focused on acquiring new merchants within the restaurant and retail sectors by selling a comprehensive SaaS payments ecosystem. The platform includes:
SPEI and debit card payment processing
Payment links and online portals
Offline barcode payments via 7-Eleven
POS systems for restaurants and retail
Unified sales and payment dashboards
Customer engagement tools such as loyalty programs coupons and memberships
API integrations for partners and developers
This is a field-based high-activity role that requires direct engagement with business owners strong outbound prospecting and the ability to open new markets from scratch.
The ideal candidate is a true hunter self-driven resilient and motivated by performance-based compensation. This role is not inbound-only and is not focused on account management. It requires proactive market development and direct merchant acquisition.
Key responsibilities include:
Generating new business through outbound prospecting and field visits
Executing go-to-market strategies in priority verticals
Conducting consultative sales conversations with merchants
Closing new accounts and driving platform adoption
Supporting onboarding and ensuring early-stage engagement
Identifying upsell and referral opportunities
Providing structured field feedback to improve GTM execution
Success in the first 36 months will be measured by:
Number of new merchants signed
Pipeline generated through outbound activity
Conversion rate from meetings to closed deals
Merchant adoption and engagement post-sale
Vertical traction in restaurants and retail
Requirements
Proven experience as a hunter in field sales
Demonstrated ability to open new markets from scratch
Experience selling fintech payments POS or SaaS solutions
Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas
Ability to sell complex multi-product solutions
Experience working with SMB or mid-market clients
High level of personal accountability and ownership
Comfortable working in a fast-growing scale-up environment

Construir y mantener una cartera de clientes sólida diversificada y en constante crecimiento. Analizar el mercado y las tendencias de la industria para identificar nuevas oportunidades de negocio y mantenerse a la vanguardia en el sector. Colaborar con ingenieros y otros departamentos para identificar oportunidades de mejora en los procesos y reducir los tiempos de entrega. Requisitos: Experiencia comprobada en ventas preferiblemente en la industria textilera con un historial exitoso de logro de objetivos. Habilidad excepcional para negociar y cerrar acuerdos comerciales con un enfoque orientado a resultados. Capacidad para trabajar de manera independiente y autogestionada siendo el único vendedor inicialmente. Excelentes habilidades de comunicación y persuasión tanto verbal como escrita. Conocimiento profundo del mercado y las necesidades de los clientes en la industria textilera y sectores relacionados. Disponibilidad para viajar frecuentemente a diferentes regiones especialmente a León y Guadalajara. Se valorará experiencia previa con clientes importantes y la capacidad para ampliar la cartera de clientes en diferentes sectores.
