Job Summary

The Youth Services Program in Kununurra strengthens community safety for young people by providing safe spaces and culturally responsive traumainformed support. You will work directly with young peoplemany engaged with the youth justice systemto help them build their strengths and achieve their goals through practical support case management and advocacy. A place to make a difference:

In this full-time max term role through to 31 December 2027 youll work as a part of our Youth Services team in Kununurra to help us create lasting change for children everywhere.

You will make a difference by:

  • Driving quality program planning and implementation
  • Coaching training and developing colleagues to increase skill and competency to enable high quality service delivery
  • Developing and maintaining operational stakeholder relationships that are critical to the success of the program
  • Coordinating staff caseloads and program logistics monitoring and evaluation risk management and child protection

You will have the ability to mentor and support colleagues have expertise in using trauma informed practice approaches an understanding of the youth justice system and knowledge of the issues facing young people in the community along with exceptional communication skills working in a cross cultural environment.

This role requires:

  • Leading the provision of quality service delivery
  • Engaging with young people and families
  • Stakeholder relationship management
  • Monitoring and evaluation of program outcomes
  • Exceptional practice skills to motivate and guide a high performing team to achieve collective goals program and client outcomes
