What youll be doing

As our Sales & Marketing Manager Benelux (Emergency Lighting) youll own the commercial strategy for one of ABBs strongest product lines. You will drive sales growth market penetration and profitabilitywhile leading a talented team of 20 professionals across the region.

Youll shape the strategy develop the team win customers trust and make sure we stay the No. 1 emergency lighting provider in the Benelux.

Your key missions

Commercial & Sales Leadership

  • Set and execute the sales & marketing strategy for the Benelux.
  • Drive revenue growth and ensure strong profitability.
  • Protect and expand our No. 1 market position.
  • Spot new business opportunities and turn them into wins.
  • Lead pricing contract negotiations and performance KPIs.

Customer Engagement & Market Development

  • Strengthen relationships with key customers influencers and partners.
  • Work closely with consultants designers and architects to specify ABB solutions.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and fast resolution of issues.
  • Represent ABB in a competitive market and build long-term partnerships.

Team Leadership

  • Lead coach and inspire your team of 20 sales and marketing professionals.
  • Foster an open friendly and collaborative culture.
  • Provide direction coaching and clear expectations.
  • Support talent development toward future European roles.

Marketing & Product Marketing

  • Build and execute the Benelux marketing plan.
  • Coordinate campaigns events and product launches with Product Marketing.
  • Bring market insights into product development.
  • Position the portfolio competitively and track competitor activity.

Sales Support & Processes

  • Improve quote quality and lead times with Inside/Technical Sales.
  • Optimize order-to-delivery processes together with Customer Service.
  • Maintain operational excellence and ensure compliance with ABB integrity & safety standards.

What you bring

  • 8 years of sales management experience (e.g. Sales Manager Regional Sales Manager).
  • Background in emergency lighting lighting or electrical solutions (nice to have not required).
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Leadership experience: coaching style results-driven team-focused.
  • Ability to work across cultures and collaborate internationally.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (French or German bonus).
  • Masters/HBO level education in Sales Business or a technical field.
  • Doer mindset: direct honest energetic and decisive.

A few practical details

  • Hybrid: 70% office customer visits occasional home office
  • Travel: 2 days per week (Benelux occasional EU travel)
  • Work hours: 40 hours per week
