Are you a Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician looking to earn reliable supplemental income in a calm overnight environment
This role is ideal for someone who already works in veterinary medicine and wants one predictable overnight shift per week without the chaos of emergency medicine.
This is not an ER-style overnight shift our overnight team typically cares for just 14 stable post-operative patients.
At LVS our overnight team focuses on attentive compassionate care for surgical patients in a supportive drama-free hospital culture.
Pay: Competitive hourly rate based on experience
Guaranteed Base Pay: $175 per scheduled shift if no overnight patients remain in the hospital.

Schedule
Primarily 1 overnight shift per week
Typical shift:
6:006:30 PM to 7:00 AM
(Usually Tuesday night into Wednesday morning)
Start and end times can be slightly adjusted to accommodate your primary job.
If overnight patients are discharged before the shift begins you will still receive a guaranteed base pay of $175 for the scheduled shift.
What Youll Do
Overnight patient care typically includes 14 stable post-operative surgical patients.
Responsibilities include:
Monitoring post-operative surgical patients
Administering medications
Managing IV fluid therapy (Heska pumps)
Monitoring and documenting vital signs (HR RR temperature CRT)
Maintaining accurate nursing notes and morning handoffs
Responding confidently and appropriately to any patient concerns
While the overnight environment is generally calm we are looking for someone who is clinically confident detail-oriented and dependable.
What Were Looking For
Licensed Veterinary Technician non-licensed technician or experienced Veterinary Assistant
Minimum 2 years of veterinary experience required
Strong technical skills including venipuncture IV catheter placement and medication administration
Strong communication and documentation skills
Calm independent and reliable
Professional and team-oriented
Specialty experience is not required we are happy to teach.
