Job Summary

1. Training Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute the annual F&B training plan aligned with business objectives.
  • Identify training needs through performance reviews guest feedback mystery audits and departmental KPIs.
  • Collaborate with Executive Chef Restaurant Managers and Outlet Managers to address operational gaps.

2. Service Excellence & Brand Standards

  • Ensure all F&B Heartists are trained on brand standards luxury service culture and guest engagement.
  • Conduct training on sequence of service upselling techniques and complaint handling.
  • Reinforce Forbes LQA HACCP and internal audit standards where applicable.

3. Product Knowledge & Technical Skills

  • Organize training sessions on:
    • Menu knowledge
    • Beverage knowledge (wine spirits cocktails coffee)
    • Food pairing
    • Service styles (fine dining casual banquet in-room dining)
  • Work closely with the culinary team for menu briefings and tastings.
  • Support barista and sommelier development programs where relevant.

4. Onboarding & Induction

  • Conduct F&B orientation for new hires.
  • Ensure structured onboarding plans are followed within the department.
  • Monitor probationary training progress and provide feedback.

5. Compliance & Food Safety

  • Ensure all F&B employees receive training in:
    • HACCP principles
    • Food safety and hygiene
    • Workplace safety standards
  • Maintain proper training documentation and compliance records.

6. Coaching & Performance Support

  • Conduct on-the-job coaching and service observations.
  • Support managers in developing team members for succession planning.
  • Facilitate Train-the-Trainer programs for supervisors and outlet leaders.

Qualifications :

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
  • Minimum 35 years of experience in Food & Beverage operations.
  • Minimum 2 years in a training or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of luxury service standards.
  • Certified trainer qualification is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards is required.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with LMS is an advantage.
