The Inventory Management & Support Technicians primary responsibility is to support the management of laboratory consumables in both GMP and non GxP areas. Non-GMP operational support is also provided within the various laboratories when required. The main operation areas cover Level 4 to 10 of the client facility.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Inventory control of Ariba orders including Lab Consumables CCC and Standing Orders. Ensure accurate monitoring and reconciliation of inventory levels relating to these orders
- Decartoning inspecting the physical quality of items and re-stocking Laboratory Consumable Stores encompassing all consumables including Lab Specific and CCC items. Affixing identifying labels as appropriate. Maintaining safe-stock levels to ensure smooth bioprocess developments and continuous operations.
- Manage delivery dockets and Certificates of Analysis (COA) ensuring timely upload into the system and subsequent archival. Ensure adherence to Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and consistency in details.
- Process Goods Receipt (GR) transactions for Ariba orders accurately and promptly
- Conduct regular cycle counting safety-stock level tracking and KANBAN stock takes for Lab Consumables (excluding Warehouse items). Perform accurate inventory counting to maintain inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Monitoring of shelf life for items in storage and forming contingency plans for management based on item usage patterns involving multiple scientific groups with varying requirements.
- Assist in SAP MIGO and STO transactions related to the Movement of Goods in compliance with the relevant SOPs as part of GMP requirements
- Managing the creation and submission of Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs).
- Generation of labels using Bartender software and additional systems as required.
- Align with end users and suppliers to forecast demand then developed and executed the supplier plan to support operational needs in addition to using data based on ordering frequencies and trends
- Source required materials based on enduser specifications and operational requirements following a stringent guideline on supplier selection to maintain conformance.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers logistics partners end users and 3PLs resolving order-related issues such as discrepancies defects and extended suppliers throughout the vendor onboarding process coordinating documentation and approvals to ensure they were compliant to support scientific activities meeting EHS standards and cleared for site access on schedule.
- Provide Lab Support Operations activities. Tasks may include but are not limited to:
- Preparation of equipment for washing and drying via a parts washer
- Preparation of equipment for sterilisation via an autoclave including accommodation of requests from the scientists or other staff members
- Delivery of clean equipment / kits to laboratories
- Perform Weekly & Monthly Autoclave cycles. Cycles and tests include but not limited to: Bowie-Dick tests and Biological Indicator tests to verify autoclave conformance for use. Maintain high accuracy and integrity when executing tests and documentation of results.
- Daily equipment calibrations e.g. pH weigh balance
- Collection dessiccation and restocking of facility gowns and laboratory consumables
- Ad hoc requirement for waste management
- Collection of labware from laboratories for cleaning (e.g. glassware 5L bioreactors etc.)
- Emptying of 5L Bioreactors in associated laboratories for movement to the Wash Areas
- Disposal of single use components
- Pre-wash soak (if required for label removal)
- Keeping work areas clean organised neat and tidy
- Compliance with the client sites OHS / QA Systems and regulatory requirements
- Participating in Corrective Actions and Preventive Actions (CAPA) inputs and implementation regarding to compliance for GMP GDP and other non-conformances and events upon request. Assisting in the development and implementation of continuous improvement project activities
- Other duties as required
- Act in accordance with the Eurofins Code of Ethics and all other relevant policies and procedures as updated from time to time
- All activities will be captured via electronic record systems that details the equipment and consumables (if applicable) used and adherence to specified method
Qualifications :
- Laboratory Skills TAFE certificate / Diploma in an appropriate scientific field preferred
- Relevant exposure and knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
- Proven experience in inventory control and management preferably in a scientific or laboratory setting
- Familiarity with inventory management software (e.g. SAP & Ariba) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word Outlook)
- Good team player organised accurate have strong documentation skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Flexible adaptable to changing priorities
- Passionate about quality and customer service
- Good communication skills both internally and externally. Capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams
