Job Purpose
- Support the OTC division with strategic marketing and new product commercialisation.
- Manage brand activities digital platforms agency deliverables and budgets.
- Lead preparation and execution of new product launches.
Required Learning
- Tertiary qualification in Marketing Business Paramedical or Biological Sciences.
- 23 years experience in pharmaceutical retail sales and/or marketing.
- Strong BI analytics capability and datadriven decision-making.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical legislation pharmacology and good pharmacy practice.
- Proficient in MS Office and pharmacy management systems.
- Understanding of the South African OTC market and interest in international product opportunities.
- Experience in strategic planning and commercialisation projects
Key Job Outputs
Commercial Marketing
- Analyse market data to develop targeted commercial strategies.
- Collaborate with sales channel marketing and key account teams.
- Tailor promotional efforts to Pharma and FMCG customer journeys.
- Track and optimise campaign performance.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Oversee budgets timelines and resources.
- Support sales strategies product launches and brand initiatives.
- Review digital and social media content monthly.
- Manage ATL schedules for TV and radio.
New Product Launches
- Coordinate artwork processes and maintain launch trackers.
- Manage barcode and NAPPI code applications.
- Oversee item master updates and submissions.
- Develop POS and marketing materials for new launches.
- Ensure accurate listing of new products on internal/external platforms.
- Maintain forecasts and financial models for NBD prospects.
General Tasks
- Coordinate quotes for marketing materials and POS.
- Manage purchase orders and digital payment services.
- Maintain digital and commercial budget trackers.
- Oversee OTC packaging artwork approvals.
- Coordinate product complaints and returns.
- Serve as marketing lead for OTC brands on the item master.
- Manage annual OTC MIMS updates and submissions.
