Job Title: Nurse Manager Emergency Services (FSED)

Position Summary:
A leading healthcare organization in Sanford FL is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to oversee operations of a Freestanding Emergency Department (FSED). This leadership role is responsible for managing clinical operations ensuring high-quality patient care maintaining regulatory compliance and supporting staff development in a fast-paced emergency environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong emergency nursing leadership experience and the ability to drive performance patient satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical & Operational Leadership
Oversee daily operations of the Freestanding Emergency Department.
Ensure delivery of safe high-quality patient-centered emergency care.
Monitor patient flow staffing effectiveness and throughput metrics.
Implement and maintain policies procedures and best practices.
Staff Management & Development
Recruit hire train and evaluate nursing staff.
Provide coaching mentorship and performance management.
Promote teamwork and a positive work environment.
Ensure appropriate staffing coverage for all shifts.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure compliance with all state federal and accreditation standards.
Monitor quality indicators patient safety metrics and satisfaction scores.
Lead quality improvement and performance initiatives.
Financial & Resource Management
Assist in budget preparation and cost management.
Monitor productivity and resource utilization.
Support inventory and equipment oversight.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with physicians hospital leadership and ancillary departments.
Serve as a liaison between staff and executive leadership.
Participate in emergency preparedness planning and drills.
Required Qualifications:
Active Florida RN license (unencumbered).
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required (Masters preferred).
Minimum 35 years of Emergency Department experience.
At least 12 years of leadership or supervisory experience in an ED setting.
BLS ACLS and PALS certifications (TNCC preferred).
Strong knowledge of emergency department regulations and standards.
