Position Overview
Navitas Partners LLC is seeking a highly strategic and forward-thinking Business Analyst Project Lead (AI Strategist) to lead the development and execution of an enterprise-wide Artificial Intelligence strategy within a public sector environment.
This role will work closely with executive leadership and technology teams to drive AI initiatives that enhance operational efficiency improve citizen services and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will combine strategic vision governance expertise and hands-on collaboration to promote responsible and effective AI adoption.
Responsibilities
Co-develop and implement an agency-wide AI strategy aligned with mission objectives and service outcomes.
Maintain and prioritize a portfolio of AI use cases across departments.
Establish governance frameworks to ensure responsible ethical and compliant AI implementation.
Define and enforce AI principles including fairness transparency accountability and human oversight.
Conduct privacy bias and impact assessments; oversee audits and compliance reporting.
Serve as business product owner for AI initiatives ensuring measurable outcomes and user adoption.
Partner with cross-functional teams to define requirements success metrics and implementation plans.
Collaborate with technology teams to ensure secure deployment and integration of AI solutions.
Support vendor evaluations and procurement processes to ensure technical and compliance alignment.
Develop KPIs and publish performance and impact reports for leadership review.
Lead AI literacy initiatives including training programs playbooks and change management efforts.
Communicate strategy progress and outcomes to internal and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree and relevant program or project management experience.
Experience working with AI technologies machine learning and data governance.
Experience in government or public sector environments.
Strong knowledge of project planning methodologies and governance frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to engage senior leadership and provide strategic recommendations.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Data Science or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in AI strategy data analytics or information technology.
At least 2 years of hands-on experience with AI technologies and machine learning.
Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic planning change management and stakeholder engagement.
5 years of experience within government or public sector organizations.
