As the General Ledger (GL) Reconciliation Specialist you will oversee and ensure the accuracy of monthly and year-end GL reconciliations. Your main responsibilities will include reviewing analyzing and correcting entries to ensure compliance with agency policies Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) the State Administrative and Accounting Manual (SAAM) and state and federal regulations. You will collaborate with finance supervisors and managers to improve processes and build connections between different teams. Your work will directly impact our ability to maintain high-quality service for the customers of the Department of Licensings programs.
Some of what you will do:
What you will bring:
Eight (8) years of experience in accounting auditing or a relevant financial field;
AND
18 quarter hours or 12 semester hours in accounting auditing budget or another relevant field.
Experience must include:
Up to four (4) years of relevant education that includes 18 quarter or 12 semester hours of accounting auditing or budgeting may substitute year for year for experience.
(Associates degree 2 years Bachelors degree 4 years)
