Temporary Solutions a program of the NC Office of State Human Resources provides North Carolina state government agencies with temporary employee recruitment HR consulting onboarding timekeeping payroll and compliance support services.

Salary Range: $41206.00-$72113.00

We are looking for a professional Human Resources Technician III with strong customer service skills to serve as one of the HR Representatives for employees within the Integrated HR-Payroll System Section at Temporary Solutions.

The HR-Payroll Specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining employee and position profiles within the Integrated HR-Payroll System (IHRPS) in accordance with established timeframes. This role is essential for ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of payroll processes for our temporary employees.

Key Responsibilities of this role include:

Receive and manage job orders from Temporary Solutions HR Consultants.
Onboard selected candidates in Workday and review Form I-9s for E-Verify
compliance.
Initiate and complete approved actions in IHRPS to include OM and PA
actions.
Maintain accurate digital employee files.
Ensure adherence to North Carolina State Government policies and practices
for classification compensation salary administration and payroll.

This position is part of a bi-weekly payroll operation serving over 4000 temporary employees requiring reliability and efficiency in all tasks performed.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences

  • Experience working with an integrated HRIS/Payroll system preferably IHRPS or a similar enterprise-level system.
  • Proven background in onboarding processes within an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Fundamental to proficient understanding of Federal and State regulations along with State policies procedures and practices.
  • Skilled in fostering effective working relationships including managing confidential information with sensitivity and discretion.
  • Capable of articulating ideas clearly and succinctly; adept at exercising sound judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions relevant to the area of responsibility.
  • Skilled in acquiring and applying regulations processes and methodologies associated with different human resources management activities or personnel decisions.
  • Strong abilities in multitasking communication and delivering excellent customer service.

Minimum Education and Experience

Associates degree typically in Human Resources or relevant field from an appropriately accredited institution and 2 years of experience required; or 3 years of progressive experience in Human Resources; or equivalent combination or education and experience.
