Title: Chief of Project Management
Location: Albemarle County VA
Salary Grade: 39 Status: Exempt

Albemarle County is seeking a Chief of Project Management to lead the design and construction of capital projects that shape our communitys future. This role oversees a team of project managers and ensures successful delivery of infrastructure projects from concept to completion.

Responsibilities:

• Manage planning design and construction of capital projects.
• Develop and monitor budgets and schedules.
• Establish best practices for project delivery.
• Coordinate with departments and external partners.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project management staff.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in architecture civil engineering or related field.
• 7 years in technical project management; supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid Virginia Drivers License.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and construction methods.

The Salary Range:

The hiring range for this position is $115529 - $127689 per year. Starting offer is based on applicable education beyond minimum requirements and internal equity. The position also provides excellent benefits including 12 paid holidays paid vacation and sick leave health insurance options with employer contribution employer-paid life insurance VRS retirement and continuing education/training opportunities. This is a full time FLSA exempt position. Internal candidates will receive pay adjustments in accordance with Local Government Personnel Policy P-60.

What to Expect During the Screening/InterviewProcess:Applicants must be prepared to participate in a one-way video interview through Spark Hire followed by an in-person interview and presentation. The in-person assessment will take place the week of 3/30-4/3.
