Position SummaryRutland City Public Schools (RCPS) seeks a dynamic creative High School/Middle School Theater Teacher to inspire students through performance technical theater and the study of dramatic arts. The ideal candidate will cultivate a classroom and stage environment where students build confidence collaborate meaningfully and explore storytelling while developing lifelong communication and problem-solving educator will direct school productions guide students in acting and stagecraft and integrate theater history literature and performance techniques into an engaging curriculum. We are looking for someone who values inclusive practices encourages student voice and believes the arts are essential to a well-rounded education and vibrant school is a
full-time position that combines both classroom teaching and extracurricular leadership. During the regular school day responsibilities may include delivering theater courses and supporting students in academic addition this role includes an after-school stipend position for directing productions advising student performers and crew members and coordinating rehearsals and district is located in beautiful Vermont within reach of Killington and Okemo offering year-round access to skiing hiking mountain biking and a welcoming small-town culture. - Salary range:$47252 to $92401 (based on the 26-27 salary schedule) commensurate with experience and qualifications.
