Goodhue Boat Company is growing and we are looking for smart motivated and dedicated people to join the team! Our Ossipee Lake marina has an immediate opening for Full-Time and Seasonal Part-Time Marine Service Advisor.
Our service department specializes in the maintenance repair and detailing of most makes and models of boats. As a Marine Service Advisor for our company you will ensure that customers receive prompt courteous and effective service.
Job Summary:
Marine Service Advisors will report to the Service Manager and assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Service department and ensuring our customers receive prompt courteous and effective this position you will be part of a team that specializes in the maintenance repair and detailing of most makes and models of boats.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Communicate with customers in a professional manner to gather allthe informationnecessary to createan accurateestimate.
- Consult and sell services thatare applicableto the type of boat andcustomersneeds.
- Provide customers with a schedule of work updates and any changes that may occur.
- Coordinate with customers on transportation of their boat.
- Communicate with technicians to informcustomersofthebestremediesto properly repairtheirvessel.
- Locate order and input parts for customer units basedontechniciansnotesand diagnosis.
- Finalize and invoice work orders.
- Ensure each customer has a positive service experience.
- Spend quality time building a relationship with the customer.
- Follow up after work is complete.
- Other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years marine service writer experience preferred
- Excellent customer service and phone skills are a must.
- Must have superior selling skills and knowledge of how to cross-sell products and services.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem solving skills.
- Marine parts and services knowledge is a must.
- Experience with Lightspeed EVO preferred.
- Intermediate computer skills.
Qualifications:
- Valid drivers license
- Valid boaters license
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions.
Education:
- Minimum of High School degree or equivalent.
Salary:
- $18-$22 per hour. Base Commission based on experience.
