School Psychologist or Adjustment Counselor in Anchor Program (Therapeutic)This position starts at the beginning of the 2026/27 school this job the mental health provider will work in our Anchor program. Anchor provided Programming for students with social-emotional challenges who have had minimal response to academic interventions and weekly counseling. It provides A continuum of support ranging from counseling and study skills to sub-separate small classesThe school adjustment counselor or Psychologist is responsible for ensuring that students receive the emotional and behavioral support needed to access the content and curriculum. This individual is responsible for writing and following the Individual Educational Plan (IEP) and adhering to state and federal regulations. RESPONSIBILITIES:- Provide school-based individual and small group counseling as indicated in the Individualized Education Plan.- Crisis intervention when needed. - Establish routines and expectations within the special education program. Coordinate with general education teachers and related service providers to ensure routines and expectations are consistent across different environments. - Facilitate the development of individual student behavior plans. Support staff in the implementation of behavior plans. Evaluate the effectiveness of plans and make adjustments as needed.- Act as the liaison between family school and when applicable outside medical and mental health personnel.- Oversee the development and coordination of social-emotional learning goals and objectives for the IEP process.- Ensure the maintenance of timely and accurate student records.- Maintain responsive lines of communication between students families and staff involved in the Anchor Program.- Collaborate with classroom teachers and service providers within the school to ensure that the appropriate supports are in place for students in the Anchor program.- Supervise special education tutors in maintaining a therapeutic environment and implementing behavior plans. - Perform other related duties as requested by the Principal. QUALIFICATIONS (Required):- Active and valid MA DESE School Social Worker/School Adjustment Counselor (All Levels) School Guidance Counselor (at the appropriate level) or School Psychologist (All Levels).- Ability to navigate ADA Massachusetts law SPED law and district policies to ensure fidelity and compliance of IEPs and national and state law.- Excellent writing skills and proven success with FBAs and behavior intervention plansQUALIFICATIONS (Preferred):- Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology Social Work Counseling or related field- Minimum of three years of professional experience working with students with emotional disabilitiesSALARY:Appropriate step and lane salary scheduleConcord Public Schools and Concord-Carlisle High School are seeking diverse and culturally competent educators.
