Wiley Rein an internationally recognized law firm known for its complex regulatory counsel is looking for a new Director of Business Development to join a highly visible and collaborative group based exclusively in Washington D.C.
Working closely with a widely respected Chief Marketing Officer the Director will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership leading high-impact initiatives combining strategic direction with hands-on execution to advance the firms business development and client growth priorities.
The role in action:
- Partner with firm leadership to shape business development strategies launch new client teams and focus on meaningful measurable results.
- Manage mentor and support a strong Business Development team fostering a culture of continuous learning trust and collaboration.
- Boost client growth by supporting retention efforts spotting new opportunities and guiding attorneys through the full pursuit process.
- Oversee key operations including lateral attorney integration the business development coaching program RFP management and cross-functional collaboration while staying plugged into practice group priorities.
- Turn market and competitive insights into smart targeted strategies that strengthen the firms position and enable new growth opportunities.
We are seeking candidates who:
- Bring 12 years of experience in marketing and business development with a minimum of 8 years of experience in a law firm environment.
- Hold a bachelors degree in marketing business communications or a related field.
- Exhibit emotional intelligence strategic thinking crisp communication skills and attention to detail with a collaborative solution-oriented mindset.
