The Role
Reporting to the Vice President External Relations the Manager Development and Alumni is a pivotal role charged with leading the implementation and day-to-day advancement of activities integral to the success of the community engagement strategic plan. This position holds the key responsibility for executing and progressively enhancing the alumni strategy while also playing a crucial role in supporting the NWP teams overarching advancement goals. As a senior member of the Advancement Team the Manager will contribute to shaping NWPs External Relations strategy providing leadership in the assessment and development of alumni engagement initiatives as well as overseeing business operations and administrative support. Effective collaboration with stakeholders adept stewardship management and thorough prospect research are essential components of this role to successfully realize annual and multi-year responsibilities will include:
- Build alumni participation support and volunteerism.
- Collaborate and foster engagement and strong relationships with all other stakeholder groups with a lead on Alumni relations.
- Inspire alumni to become NWP ambassadors.
- Cultivate and deliver results through prospect management.
- Implement thoughtful stewardship initiatives including events to build relationships.
- Work with NWPs Communications team to share alumni strategies stories events and recognition through publications social media and website.
- Work with applicable database software to manage client relationships research and apply for grants and implement prospect research tactics.
- Support the Advancement team with programs campaigns events and other activities as needed.
- Carry out the Advancement teams strategic initiatives while providing mentorship encouragement and support to the team.
- Delegate duties and co-ordinate administrative functions for the Advancement team.
- Assess workflows and establish processes and procedures that will enhance the operations of the department to deliver the results of the strategic plan.

RequirementsThe successful candidate will be required to hold specific experience related to community engagement and external relations. ABachelors degree in a related Business Commerce Economics or similar is preferred. Consideration will be given to any equivalent combination of education training and experience.
