Summary:

• Lead collaboration with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.

• Translate requirements into system architectures hardware and software designs and interface specifications.

• Lead system testing and validation efforts to ensure designs meet operational and functional requirements.

• Oversee supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance.

• Provide lifecycle support for fielded hardware and software research emerging technologies and recommend technology investments.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree with 9 years Masters with 7 years or PhD with 4 years of experience from an accredited program in Engineering Computer Science Mathematics Physics or Chemistry

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited program in Engineering Engineering Technology Chemistry Physics Mathematics Data Science or Computer Science

• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

• 3 years of experience with electrical avionics system design including:

  • Electrical systems and subsystem design

  • Interface cable design between systems and platforms

  • Electrical hardware/software integration

  • Vendor coordination for part selection

  • Hardware/software testing in laboratory environments

• Experience or knowledge of VPX/VME form factors

• Experience or knowledge of communication standards and protocols including:

  • RS-422 / RS-232

  • PC/104

  • TCP/IP & Ethernet

  • IEEE-488

  • MMSI

  • MIL-STD-1553

• Technical system domain knowledge (e.g. air vehicles and/or weapons systems)

• Experience with product and systems development and integration

• Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
