Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel Lexington is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Refractory Lead. Responsibilities will include developing Nucor culture where Safety is a value that is continually demonstrated. Other responsibilities will include selecting teaching and training a team in all aspects of steel production while working closely with peers within the leadership team to develop consistent guidelines for the Nucor Lexington team.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years of Melt Shop experience
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule and unscheduled overtime rotating shifts weekends and holidays as scheduled.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Melt Shop Operations
