Job Summary

Your Mission

Were looking for a technical copywriter with real CNC machining and engineering experience to write SEO blog content that ranks on Google and is factually accurate. This is not generic AI fluff content you must be able to explain machining concepts correctly use the right terminology and write for both engineers and buyers researching manufacturing services.

What Youll Produce

SEO Blog Articles (CNC Manufacturing):

Long-form SEO blogs (typically words depending on topic/competition).

Topic clusters supporting articles and pillar pages (as needed).

Content written for search intent: informational commercial and comparison topics.

Optional: simple diagrams/feature callouts suggestions (no design required).

Technical Accuracy and Trust:

Clear correct explanations of CNC machining processes materials tolerances finishes GD and amp;T basics DFM lead times and cost drivers.

Fact-checking and referencing reliable sources (manufacturer specs machining handbooks tooling/material references).

Avoid incorrect claims vague statements or unsupported marketing language.

Key Responsibilities

Research SEO Planning:

Analyze target keywords and search intent.

Review competitor pages ranking on Google and identify content gaps.

Propose outlines that match intent and improve on whats currently ranking.

Writing Optimization:

Write SEO-optimized CNC machining blogs that read naturally and are technically correct.

Use proper headings internal linking suggestions and logical structure.

Create strong introductions scannable sections and useful summaries.

Include FAQs where helpful to win featured snippets.

Content Quality Control:

Verify technical details (feeds/speeds concepts material properties at a high level tolerance ranges surface finish terminology etc.).

Ensure consistency in units (metric/imperial) and correct manufacturing terminology.

Deliver content that meets Googles quality expectations (helpful expert trustworthy).

Mandatory Background

CNC and Engineering Expertise:

Hands-on CNC machining experience OR a strong engineering/manufacturing background (mechanical manufacturing industrial etc.).

Ability to accurately explain machining methods (milling turning drilling grinding EDM basics) fixturing concepts and common shop practices.

Strong understanding of materials commonly used in CNC machining (aluminum steels stainless titanium brass plastics).

SEO Writing Experience:

Proven experience writing SEO blogs that rank (please share samples rankings if possible).

Understanding of on-page SEO: headings keyword placement intent matching internal linking and topical authority.

Ability to write for both technical audiences and non-technical decision makers.

English Writing Quality:

Clear concise well-structured writing with strong grammar.

Ability to simplify complex topics without dumbing them down.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Manufacturing Content Depth:

Experience writing about DFM GD and amp;T tolerance stack-up basics quality inspection (CMM/FAI) ISO/AS9100 concepts.

Knowledge of quoting/cost drivers production vs prototyping and supplier selection criteria.

SEO Tool Familiarity:

SurferSEO / Frase / Clearscope / Ahrefs / Semrush / Google Search Console workflows (any is fine).

Ability to suggest content briefs topic clusters and internal link maps.
