RECEIVES GUIDANCE FROM- Coordinator of Information Technology AssistantCoordinator of Information Technology
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION- Responsible for installing configuring and maintaining computers and classroom technology at all school locations. Includes installation and support for computer application software includes installation and support of computer networking. Performs general computer troubleshooting and maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS-

Skills Knowledge and Abilities
- Work closely in cooperation with the manager of information systems and all staff.
- Ability to perform diagnostic examinations of computers and classroom technology.
- Ability to plan and implement scheduled preventative maintenance.
- Strong working knowledge of macOS Windows iOS and ChromeOS devices necessary.
- Knowledge of local area network systems.
- Strong skills in written and oral communication.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize without close supervision.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Post-secondary education preferred.
Certification/Licensure
- Valid Iowa drivers license.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES-
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Operate and maintain work order reporting system.
- Assist with developing and implementing a strategy for the training of users on proper equipment use and care.
- Repair as much as feasible all district computer equipment.
- Troubleshoot software hardware AV and network problems.
- Assist in the coordination of both off-site and on-site servicing procedures.
- Assist in the inventory and deployment of new equipment.
- Assist in the management of District devices using MDM solutions.
- Recommend changes in hardware-software configurations.
- Train and supervise student technicians in coordination with IS Manager Assistant IS Manager and Tech Specialist.
- Fulfill administrative reporting requirements.
- Maintain a reliable attendance record.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION OF OTHERS-
- None
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS-
- Satisfactory health as certified by a competent medical authority.
- Repetitious bending lifting stooping kneeling and hand movement.
- Ability to work while standing moving and/or walking.
- Ability to climb stairs ladders and work overhead periodically.
- Drug tobacco and alcohol-free while working.
- Must be able to see and hear within normal limits with or without corrective lenses or hearing aids.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle used to travel between sites.
WORKING CONDITIONS-
- Majority of work is performed in an office or school setting.
- Extensive district travel required.
- Some weekend and evening hours may be required.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT-
